Types of Lumber
Okan
It is used for the construction of bridges, especially in marine environments, and for railway sleepers or heavy frameworks.
Padouk
Used for veneer, flooring, turned objects, musical instruments, furniture, tool handles, and other small specialty wood objects.
Wenge
Wenge can be used for veneering, panelling and furniture.
Iroko
The wood is used for a variety of purposes including boat-building, domestic flooring, furniture and outdoor gates.
Azobé
Azobe is excellent for heavy construction work, harbor construction, heavy-duty flooring, and railroad cross ties.
Ebiara
Its used in cabinetwork, stairs, parquet and flooring, moldings, furniture and panelling. The wood can also be used for exterior applications, like decking, garden timber and facades.
